“To Error is Human. To Really Foul Things Up Requires a Computer.” This was quote on our grandpa’s computer, and it strikes us as just as true today, especially with automation and virtual reality. We dive deep into both those subjects – including with Matthew’s new Sony Playstation VR. All the rest of the show notes are below.
259: Apple Doesn’t Want You To Hear This
This week’s podcast is mostly focused on Apple’s announcement. We fully deconstruct the iPhone’s headphone jack and the new direction of the Apple Watch. We also talk about Intel’s latest purchase and Sony’s new console. See below for all the notes.
248: Solar Powered Cheese Cutters
Dare to dream! Laptops are getting so thin that they can double as cheese cutters. But are they getting too thin? Maybe the “cheese cutters test” isn’t the right area laptop makers should be competing. Maybe it should be about battery life and speed.
247: Playing On New Operating Systems
This week we dive deep into Apple’s WWDC where they release updates for their four operating systems. At the same time, E3 took place and we review a bunch of the new games announced. Oh yeah, and Microsoft bought LinkedIn.
236: We Visit A Dangerous American Site, Our Experience Will Make You Glow
Week three without James, we’re almost through this people. Helping me hold down the fort this week is Brian Nelson in Los Alamos New Mexico. In this explosive episode, we heat things up while talking about our visit to the Trinity Bomb test site. Microsoft made some really exciting announcements and Tesla took an amazing amount of preorders. We give you the best (and worst) April Fools pranks on the internet, we explain how you’ll end up with a smart fridge and blow your mind with some expert Super Mario World play. We Finally wrap it up with some dating advice.
231: Facebook Came Up With Something New, Our Reaction Will Make You Angry
For the first time, my reaction to robots taking over the world and killing humans falls right in line with Elon Musk. It’s after watching the Boston Dynamics video of humans being mean to their atlas robot that prompts my concern. If Facebook had the reaction of scared, that’s the one I would choose.
219: Swiftly Covering the Unifying Theory Of The Forbidden Fruit
So… It turns out that this week was full of Apple news. We swiftly run through they Unifying Theory of products, and then get into specific thoughts on products. Matthew is particularly excited about Swift, and I don’t blame him.
Also listen for Adobe’s product name change and PlayStation’s moves to bring back some classic games. Check out the show notes below.
