The Yahoo Knight Rises

Episode 43! We start off talking about the NFL getting iPads & cloud data transfers and HP offering “The Cloud Thing”. Then we chat about Yahoo’s new CEO: Marrisa Mayer, how Microsoft squandered their $6.3 billion purchase of aQuantive, a chart that further points to an impending Mini-iPad, the formula for start-up messages after being bought by Facebook/Google, and the iOS/OSX in-app purchase hack (hint: don’t do it).

We round out, admittedly, another weird show by talking about Prezi’s new 3D presentations, laser powered bionic eyes from Second Sight, Matthew’s field trip to the set of Star Trek II: The National Ignition Facility, the state of the Apple vs. Android/Samsung lawsuits, and finally James reveals what space smells like.

We also fit in news about Yelp check-ins on the iPhone, Woz’s support of Kim DotCom, Apple’s re-phrasing of there virus immunity, their new (horrible) podcasting app, Steve Job’s win against Flash, and Bob Mansfield retiring from Apple.
